ASEAN Online Sale Day 2026 Officially Underway

 08-08-2026

Southeast Asia continues to rank among the world's fastest-growing e-commerce markets. According to IMARC Group, the ASEAN e-commerce market is projected to expand from USD 269.63 billion in 2025 to nearly USD 1.5 trillion by 2034, with an average annual growth rate exceeding 20%.

Against this backdrop, cross-border e-commerce has emerged as a key driver of ASEAN's digital economy. The development of an integrated regional e-commerce market is expected to facilitate the seamless flow of goods while creating new opportunities for businesses—particularly micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs)—to expand into neighboring markets at lower costs and reach a broader consumer base.

To support this vision, ASEAN launched the ASEAN Online Sale Day (AOSD) initiative in 2020. More than a regional online shopping campaign, AOSD serves as a collaborative platform that strengthens e-commerce cooperation among ASEAN Member States. The initiative enables businesses to showcase their products, build partnerships, expand market access, and integrate more deeply into regional and global value chains. It also promotes each country's distinctive products and cultural heritage, further enhancing economic connectivity and intra-ASEAN trade.

As part of ASEAN Online Sale Day 2026, the Philippines, as ASEAN Chair 2026, has partnered with fellow ASEAN Member States to organize a series of business support activities. These include webinars and capacity-building programmes delivered in collaboration with industry experts and strategic partners, providing practical insights into e-commerce trends, digital marketing, cross-border logistics, digital payments, and international market opportunities.

AOSD 2026 also continues to strengthen collaboration with e-commerce platforms, logistics providers, payment service providers, and digital solution companies to enhance the overall customer experience while supporting businesses in expanding their digital operations.

ASEAN Online Sale Day 2026 is now officially taking place from 8 to 10 August 2026 through the programme's official website, participating e-commerce platforms, and digital channels managed by businesses and government agencies across ASEAN Member States. The programme is expected to further accelerate cross-border e-commerce, create new business opportunities for enterprises across the region, and contribute to building a more connected, dynamic, and sustainable ASEAN digital economy.
