ASEAN Launches Preparations for the 2026 ASEAN Online Sale Day

 07-10-2026

The ASEAN Steering Committee on the ASEAN Online Sale Day (AOSD) convened on 9 July 2026 to finalize preparations for the 2026 ASEAN Online Sale Day, one of the region’s flagship initiatives to promote e-commerce and strengthen regional digital trade.

According to the agreed implementation plan, the program will take place from 8 to 10 August 2026 and will feature two main components designed to stimulate both domestic and cross-border e-commerce activities across the region.

For the domestic market, e-commerce platforms, online retailers, and businesses in all ten ASEAN Member States will offer a wide range of promotional campaigns, discounts, and special deals for local consumers. These activities are expected to boost online shopping, support digital businesses, and encourage greater consumer participation in the digital economy.

In parallel, the cross-border e-commerce component will encourage participating businesses and e-commerce platforms with international trading capabilities to introduce exclusive offers for consumers across ASEAN. By facilitating cross-border online transactions, the initiative aims to expand market access for businesses, particularly micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), while fostering greater intra-ASEAN trade and regional economic integration.

As the 2026 ASEAN Chair, the Philippines will lead the organization and coordination of this year’s ASEAN Online Sale Day. Preparations for the campaign have been completed, and the country is working closely with ASEAN Member States to ensure the successful implementation of the regional event.

Since its launch, the ASEAN Online Sale Day has served as an important regional platform for promoting digital commerce, enhancing collaboration among ASEAN Member States, and showcasing the region’s growing digital marketplace. The 2026 edition is expected to further strengthen consumer confidence, encourage cross-border digital trade, and contribute to ASEAN’s vision of a more integrated, inclusive, and resilient digital economy.
